Does this work on photos of objects or products, not people?
Not reliably — this is built specifically to recognise people in a photo, not objects or products. For anything other than a portrait, results will likely be inaccurate.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Your photo is never uploaded — finding the subject in the photo happens entirely on your own device. The first time you use this tool it needs a moment to get ready, but your photo is never part of that step.
Why are the edges around the person a bit rough?
The model works from a lower-resolution internal mask that gets scaled back up to your photo’s full size, so very fine detail — flyaway hair, for example — is the hardest thing for it to get perfectly clean.
