No — the image is never uploaded. Everything needed to read the text runs on your own device. The first time you use this tool it needs a moment to get ready; after that, nothing about the process involves sending your image anywhere.
Does this work on handwriting?
It can, but accuracy is much lower than for printed or typed text — this tool is built for recognising printed characters, and handwriting recognition is a fundamentally harder problem it was not tuned for.
Why is some of the text wrong or missing?
Recognition accuracy depends heavily on image clarity, resolution, and contrast — a blurry photo, unusual font, or low-resolution scan will produce more mistakes. Always check the result against the original before relying on it.
